Day two of the Manila Major group stage is over and the tournament bracket for the main event has been set. Coming out on top of Group C is Team Liquid who have been slowly progressing to one of the best teams in Dota. They showed no signs of slowing down at the Major after their first place finish at Epicenter and are in a very good place to win the tournament. In second place is a Fnatic team that has shown some signs of great play, but haven’t established themselves as one of the top teams. In third place is the inconsistent Swedish squad Alliance. A team that can struggle at certain points but can breeze through a tournament if they get on a run and play their game, and a run is exactly what they are going to need to win this major. Coming last in the group is Vici Gaming Reborn who have shown some success with their relatively new roster and are looking to showcase their talents even more.
The historic LGD Gaming direct invite from Valve may have seemed questionable when first announced, but they have started off their time in Manila right as they take first place in Group D. The Korean MVP Phoenix squad takes second in the group continuing their recent success. In third place is the highly unknown Evil Geniuses rosters that, just like their counterparts Secret, are struggling to get things together. In last place in the group is the SEA qualifier Mineski who have nothing to lose and will be looking to do whatever it takes to bring success this tournament.
