DreamHack have announed that Fnatic will miss DreamHack Masters Malmö due to Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer's wrist injury, as he is instructed to recover in the coming weeks.
Recently in the professional eSports scene there have been numerous players with arm and wrist related injury's such as Counter-Strike's very own Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács and Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer. Both players are sustaining to what seems to be the same injury affecting their game-play, results that neither team or players want to see. The injury very well could have been the reasoning for Fnatic's early quarter-finals exit at the MLG Columbus, following a breathtaking Astralis loss.
The 24 year old Swede Kajbjer, had mentioned to the MLG Media in Columbus that he was not %100 coming into the tournament, which raised a few eyebrows. There have been reports in the eSports scene that players have been suffering injuries to the arm and or wrist, preventing the players to perform consistently. Players such as Jonatan ''Devilwalk'' Lundberg , who publicly announced his retirement from the game due to an everlasting wrist injury, has seen his career go up and down in the recent years due to his nagging injury. According to a statement by DreamHack, it is uncertain how serious Kajbjer's injury is or how long it will take to recover. Kajbjer is expected to see a specialist in the next coming days.
Jesper "JW" Wecksell's twitter also revealed that the Swedish team is on the look-out for Kajbjer's replacement for the time being of recovery. Fnatic will hope to have Kajbjer back in the lineup before the next tournament, until then the team will play the ESL Pro League without the help of their main fifth.
